Peter Johnson

Peter Johnson has been training in Soo Bahk Do for 21 years and has been teaching for 17 years. Master Johnson was awarded his Cho Dan in 2010 and in 2019 he attended the U.S. Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa (master level test) in Salt Lake City Utah. 6 months later he was promoted to Sa Dan (4th degree black belt).  Master Johnson has competed numerous times at the regional level in Minnesota, as well as, on the National level. He has been successful both individually and represented Region 7 on sparring team nationally, winning multiple times in both forms and sparring.

Master Johnson’s training in Soo Bahk Do has expanded outside of the Dojang. He has participated in community fundraisers by performing demonstrations at multiple events such as the Walk for Life cancer marathon to help bring awareness to cancer survivors and cancer research. Through the Dojang he has worked with underprivileged kids and their families.  Master Johnson has helped teach at self-defense classes for victims of domestic violence, and assault awareness classes with his instructor Sa Bom Nim Bill Nelson.
